Dr. Raheem has received her Ph.D. in Construction Management from the University of Florida (UF). She holds multiple master’s degrees in Building Construction, Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering from UF. She is now serving as an assistant professor at the University of Texas, El Paso. Dr. Raheem is an invited member of the President’s Advisory Committee on Sustainability at UTEP. She has also been a member of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and has served on multiple committees in the past few years. Dr. Raheem has a research portfolio of more than $1 million with projects funded by various U.S. federal agencies and non-profit organizations such as the U.S. Department of Labor, U.S. Department of State, U.S. National Science Foundation and VentureWell. She has also served as a merit reviewer for the Technology Commercialization Fund by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Technology Transitions. Her research interests include sustainable cities, construction safety, construction management and sustainable construction. She is an Envision™ Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and a certified associate member of the Design-Build Institute of America (Assoc. DBIA™).
